The Parliamentary Commissioner Order 1987

At the Court at Windsor Castle, the 7th day of April 1987 Present, The Queen’s most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 5(4) of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967[^f00001], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary Commissioner Order 1987 and shall come into force on 6th May 1987.

Paragraph 8[^f00002] of Schedule 3 to the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967 shall be amended in the following respects–

• (a) the word “or”, in the second place where it occurs, shall be deleted; and

• (b) after the words “the Rampton Hospital Board,” there shall be inserted the words “the Broadmoor Hospital Board or the Moss Side and Park Lane Hospitals Board,”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order further amends Schedule 3 to the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967, which sets out matters which are not subject to investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration, so as to exclude from the provisions of that Schedule any action taken on behalf of the Secretary of State for Social Services by the Broadmoor Hospital Board and the Moss Side and Park Lane Hospitals Board.
