At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 18th day of May 1987 Present, The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 5 of the West Indies Act 1962[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

Citation, construction and commencement

Amendment of Turks and Caicos Islands (Constitution) (Interim Amendment) Order 1986

Paragraph 3(1)(c) of Schedule 2 to the Turks and Caicos Islands (Constitution) (Interim Amendment) Order 1986[^f00003] shall be amended by substituting for the words “up to four persons” the words “up to six persons”, and section 5 of the said Order shall have effect accordingly.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Constitution of the Turks and Caicos Islands, as modified by the Turks and Caicos Islands (Constitution) (Interim Amendment) Order 1986, to increase to a maximum of six the number of persons who may be appointed by the Governor as nominated members of the Executive Council for the Islands.
