The Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 1988

Coming into force: 1st March 1988

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 18(1) and 24(2) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976([^f00001]), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

• (1) This Order may be cited as the Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 1st March 1988.

• (2) This Order shall extend to Scotland only.

The fee payable under paragraph 18 of Schedule 3 to the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976([^f00002]) (which relates to permits for the commercial provision of amusements with prizes) shall, instead of £8.50, be £25.

The Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 1982([^f00003]) is hereby revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order, which extends to Scotland only, increases the fee payable to a local authority or other appropriate authority on the grant or renewal of a permit for amusements with prizes provided under section 16 of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976.
