At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 26th day of July 1988 Present, The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 1(2) of the Armed Forces Act 1986[^f00001], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

The Army Act 1955[^f00002], the Air Force Act 1955[^f00003] and the Naval Discipline Act 1957[^f00004] shall continue in force for a period of twelve months beyond 31st August 1988 that day being the day on which they would otherwise expire.

This Order may be cited as the Army, Air Force and Naval Discipline Acts (Continuation) Order 1988.
