Coming into force: 1st April 1988

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 43(2) and (6) of the Road Traffic Act 1972[^f00001] and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 199(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 1st April 1988.

The Motor Vehicles (Tests) Regulations 1981[^f00003] are hereby amended so that in the regulations specified in column 1 of the Table below for the words specified in column 2 of that Table there are substituted the words specified in column 3 of the Table.
