Made: 11th March 1988

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 50(2) of the Fire Safety and Safety of Places of Sport Act 1987[^f00001], I hereby make the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Fire Safety and Safety of Places of Sport Act 1987 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1988.

The provisions of the Fire Safety and Safety of Places of Sport Act 1987 specified in the Schedule to this Order shall come into force on 1st June 1988.

SCHEDULE — PROVISIONS OF THE FIRE SAFETY AND SAFETY OF PLACES OF SPORT ACT 1987 COMING INTO FORCE ON 1ST JUNE 1988

Provisions of the Act Subject matter of provisions
Section 42 Licensing of indoor sports premises in London
Section 43 Licensing of indoor sports premises outside London (in England and Wales)
Section 45 Entertainment licences: removal of exemption
Section 49, to the extent necessary to give effect to such of the repeals in Schedule 4 and provisions of Schedule 5 as are specified in this Schedule and the Appendix to this Schedule Repeals and transitional and saving provisions
Schedule 3 Indoor sports licences: consequential amendments
In Schedule 4, the entry specified in the Appendix to this Schedule Repeals
In Schedule 5, paragraphs 8 and 10 Transitional and saving provisions

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 1st June 1988 the provisions of the Fire Safety and Safety of Places of Sport Act 1987 specified in the Schedule to the Order.
