The Submarine Pipe-lines (Designated Owners) (No. 5) Order 1988

Made: 9th May 1988

Coming into force: 1st June 1988

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33(3) of the Petroleum and Submarine Pipe-lines Act 1975[^f00001] (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after giving those persons affected an opportunity of being heard with respect to the matter, hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Submarine Pipe-lines (Designated Owners) (No. 5) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 1st June 1988.

For the purposes of Part III of the Act each person specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto is hereby designated the owner of the pipe-line described in Part II of the Schedule.

SCHEDULE

PART I — designated owners

• Marathon Oil U.K. Ltd., whose registered office is at Marathon House, 174 Marylebone Road, London NW1 5AT.

• Britoil p.l.c., whose registered office is at 301 Vincent Street, Glasgow G2 5DD.

• Bow Valley Exploration (U.K.) Ltd., whose registered office is at Windsor House, 50 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0NW.

• Kerr-McGee Oil (U.K.) p.l.c., whose registered office is at Blackfriars House, 19 Newbridge Street, London EC4V 6DB.

• Dyas Oil (U.K.) Ltd., whose registered office is at 90 Long Acre, London, WC2E 9NP.

• Dyas Exploration (U.K.) Ltd., whose registered office is at 90 Long Acre, London WC2E 9NP.

• LL & E (U.K.) Inc., whose principal place of business in the United Kingdom is at LL & E House, 40a Dover Street, London W1X 3RB.

• Sovereign Oil and Gas p.l.c., whose registered office is at Portland House, Stag Place, London, SW1E 5BH.

• Norsk Hydro Oil and Gas Ltd., whose registered office is at Bridge House, 69 London Road, Twickenham, Middlesex TW1 1EE.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates the companies listed in Part I of the Schedule as owners of the pipe-line described in Part II of the Schedule, which lies between two offshore installations situated east of the coast of Scotland.
