The Banking Act 1987 (Exempt Persons) Order 1989

Coming into force: 1st April 1989
The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 4(3) of the Banking Act 1987[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and after consultation with the Bank of England, hereby order as follows:
Citation and Commencement

This Order may be cited as the Banking Act 1987 (Exempt Persons) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 1st April 1989.
Exemption
2
Schedule 2 to the Banking Act 1987 shall be amended by the addition of the following new entry after the entry numbered“14”–
(14A) Crown Agents Financial Services Limited.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order adds Crown Agents Financial Services Limited to the list in Schedule 2 to the Banking Act 1987 of persons exempted from section 3 of that Act (restriction on acceptance of deposits).
