The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Instrument in exercise of powers conferred by section 106(3) of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him [^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The Buckinghamshire County Council Fenny Stratford Southern Bypass (Canal Bridge) Scheme 1987 is hereby confirmed without modification.

The said Scheme as confirmed (hereinafter referred to as “the Scheme”) is set out in the Schedule hereto and copies of the Scheme with its accompanying plan are deposited at the offices of the Department of Transport, Eastern Regional Office, Heron House, 49–51 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL and at the offices of the Buckinghamshire County Council, County Hall, Aylesbury HP20 1UA.

The Scheme will become operative on the date on which notice that it has been confirmed is first published in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Highways Act 1980.

This Instrument may be cited as the Buckinghamshire County Council Fenny Stratford Southern Bypass (Canal Bridge) Scheme 1987 Confirmation Instrument 1989.
THE SCHEDULE TO THE INSTRUMENT — THE BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL FENNY STRATFORD SOUTHERN BYPASS (CANAL BRIDGE) SCHEME 1987
THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF BUCKINGHAMSHIRE (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) make this Scheme in exercise of their powers under Section 106 of the Highways Act 1980 and of all other enabling powers:—

The Council are authorised to construct over the navigable waters of the Grand Union Canal at Fenny Stratford, Milton Keynes in the County of Buckinghamshire the bridge specified in the Schedule to this Scheme as part of the highway which they are proposing to construct between the A5 East of Bletchley and the A4146 South of Bletchley in the Borough of Milton Keynes in the said County.

This Scheme may be cited as The Buckinghamshire County Council Fenny Stratford Southern Bypass (Canal Bridge) Scheme 1987.GIVEN under the Common Seal of the Council this twenty-fifth day of August 1987.
THE SCHEDULE TO THE SCHEME
The location and specifications of the bridge are shown on drawing number B496/C101 attached hereto and the construction of the bridge shall include:—
