The Visiting Forces and International Headquarters (Application of Law) (Amendment) Order 1989

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 2nd day of August 1989 Present, The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of the said section 8, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Visiting Forces and International Headquarters (Application of Law) (Amendment) Order 1989, and shall come into force forthwith.

In article 3 (3) of the Visiting Forces and International Headquarters (Application of Law) Order 1965[^f00002] (which applies that Order to the visiting forces mentioned therein) for “Italy and the Federal Republic of Germany” there shall be substituted “Italy, the Federal Republic of Germany and Spain”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Visiting Forces and International Headquarters (Application of Law) Order 1965, which provides for the application to visiting forces and international headquarters of law applicable to home forces, by adding to the visiting forces mentioned in article 3(3) of that Order those of Spain.
