The Scottish Land Court Amendment Rules 1989

Made: 27th July 1989

Coming into force: 1st September 1989

The Scottish Land Court, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Crofters Holdings (Scotland) Act 1886[^f00001], and now vested in them[^f00002], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and with the approval of the Treasury, hereby make the following Rules:

These Rules may be cited as the Scottish Land Court Amendment Rules 1989 and shall come into force on 1st September 1989.

Any reference in the Scottish Land Court Rules 1979[^f00003] to the Table of Court Fees set under in Appendix 1 to those Rules shall be interpreted as a reference to the Table of Court Fees specified in the Scottish Land Court (Fees) Order 1989[^f00004].

Appendix 1 to the Scottish Land Court Rules 1979 and the Scottish Land Court (Fees) Amendment Rules 1988([^f00005]) are hereby revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Rules)

These Rules revoke Appendix 1 of the Scottish Land Court Rules 1979 which previously set out the fees payable in respect of proceedings before the Scottish Land Court. Fees are now prescribed by the Scottish Land Court (Fees) Order 1989 (SI 1989/1365) following designation of the Land Court as a Scottish Court for the purposes of section 2 of the Courts of Law Fees (Scotland) Act 1895. The Rules provide for references to the Table of Court Fees in the Scottish Land Court Rules 1979 to be construed as references to the Fees now prescribed in the Scottish Land Court (Fees) Order 1989.
