The A65 Trunk Road (Draughton Bypass De-Trunking) Order 1989

Made: 14th September 1989

Coming into force: 19th October 1989

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of North Yorkshire that the new trunk road is open for through traffic.

This Order shall come into force on 19th October 1989 and may be cited as the A65 Trunk Road (Draughton Bypass De-Trunking) Order 1989.

SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD

The length of road ceasing to be a trunk road is that length of the Trunk Road from a point (marked C' on the deposited plan) about 260 metres west of High Laithe to a point (markedD' on the deposited plan) about 70 metres west of its junction with the centre line of Height Lane in the District of Craven in the County of North Yorkshire.
