The Goods Vehicles (Authorisation of International Journeys) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1989

The Secretary of State for Transport, with the consent of the Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the Goods Vehicles (Authorisation of International Journeys) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1989 and shall come into force on 8th December 1989.

The Goods Vehicles (Authorisation of International Journeys)(Fees) Regulations 1983[^f00003] shall be further amended by the substitution –

• (a) in regulations 4 and 5 of “£80” for “£100” and “£20” for “£26”;

• (b) in regulation 6 of “£40” for “£50” and “£10” for “£14”;

• (c) in regulation 8 of “£25” for “£50”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Goods Vehicles (Authorisation of International Journeys) (Fees) Regulations 1983 as previously amended by the Goods Vehicles (Authorisation of International Journeys) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1987. The effect of the amendments is to reduce the fees payable on the issue of certain authorisations, licences and permits required for international road haulage journeys as follows –

In addition the fee for a community removals authorisation is reduced from £50 to £25.
