The Submarine Pipe-lines (Designated Owners) (No. 31) Order 1989

Coming into force: 19th January 1990

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33(3) of the Petroleum and Submarine Pipe-lines Act 1975[^f00001] (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after giving those persons affected an opportunity of being heard with respect to the matter, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Submarine Pipe-lines (Designated Owners) (No. 31) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 19th January 1990.

For the purposes of Part III of the Act, each person specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto is hereby designated as the owner of the pipe-lines described in Part II of the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

PART I — DESIGNATED OWNERS

• Amerada Hess (Norway) Ltd., incorporated in the U.S.A., whose principal office is at 1185 Avenue of the Americas, New York, N.Y. 10036, U.S.A., and whose registered office in Norway is at N-0150 Langkaien 1, Oslo 1, Norway.

• Amoco Norway Oil Company, incorporated in the U.S.A., whose principal office is at 200 East Randolph Drive, Chicago, IL 60601, U.S.A., and whose principal place of business in Norway is at Bergjelandsgaten 25, N-4012 Stavanger, Norway.

• Britoil p.l.c., whose registered office is at 301 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow G2 5DD.

• Chevron UK Ltd., whose registered office is at Chevron House, 2 Portman Street, London W1H 0AN.

• Conoco Norway Inc. U/A, whose registered office is at Haakon VII’s Gate, 0161 Oslo 1, Norway.

• Conoco (U.K.) Ltd., whose registered office is at Park House, 116 Park Street, London W1Y 4NN.

• Den Norske Stats Oljeselskap, A/S (STATOIL), whose registered office is at Lagardsveien 78, 4001 Stavanger, Norway.

• Esso Norge A/S, whose registered office is at Haakon VII’s Gate 9, 0114 Oslo 1, Norway.

• Enterprise Oil Norge Limited, whose registered office is at 5 Strand, London WC2N 5HU, and having its principal place of business at Lokkeveien 103 B, 4001 Stavanger, Norway.

• Mobil Exploration Norway Inc., incorporated in the U.S.A. whose principal office is at 150 East 42nd Street, New York, N.Y. 10017, U.S.A., and whose principal place of business in Norway is at Strandgt 41-43, N-4001 Stavanger, Norway.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates the companies listed in Part I of the Schedule as owners of the pipe-lines described in Part II of the Schedule. These pipe-lines lie above the Murchison oilfield, situated north-east of the Shetland Islands, and between that oilfield and the nearby Dunlin oilfield.
