Made: 14th March 1989

Coming into force: 1st April 1989

The Registrar General, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5, 9(5), 10(1), 10A(1), 39 and 41 of the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1953[^f00001], sections 20(a) and 21(1) of the Registration Service Act 1953[^f00002], as such powers are extended by section 2(2) of the Welsh Language Act 1967[^f00003] and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Wales[^f00004], hereby makes the following Regulations –

Citation, commencement and interpretation

Substitution of forms 2 and 6 in Schedule 2

For forms 2 and 6 in Schedule 2 there shall be substituted respectively the forms 2 and 6 in the Schedule to these Regulations.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations make minor amendments to the Welsh versions of the forms and forms of words prescribed in connection with the registration and re-registration of births. The amendments are consequential on the coming into force of sections 24 and 25 of the Family Law Reform Act 1987.
