The General Medical Council Preliminary Proceedings Committee and Professional Conduct Committee (Procedure) Rules (Amendment) Order of Council 1989

Laid before Parliament: 17th April 1989

Coming into force: 10th May 1989

At the Council Chamber, Whitehall, the 13th day of April 1989 By the Lords of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council

Now, therefore, Their Lordships, in further exercise of their powers under the said sub-paragraph (5) of paragraph 1 of Schedule 4 to the said Act, are pleased to approve that paragraph.

This Order shall come into force on 10th May 1989.

APPENDIX — Rule 4(2) of the General Medical Council Preliminary Proceedings Committee and Professional Conduct Committee (Procedure) Rules 1988.

(2) Subject to paragraph (3), the Council shall appoint the President under this rule.

The paragraph approved by this Order was inadvertently omitted from the version of the rules submitted by the General Medical Council to the Privy Council for approval and which was approved by the Privy Council by the General Medical Council Preliminary Proceedings Committee and Professional Conduct Committee (Procedure) Rules Order of Council 1988 (S.I. 1988/2255).
