Coming into force: 28th April 1989
The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him(b), and of all other enabling powers:

The new highways which the Secretary of State proposes to construct along the routes described in the Schedule hereto shall become trunk road as from the date on which this Order comes into force.

The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.

In this Order–“the deposited plan” means the plan numbered HA10/2E/305 marked“The Trunk Road (Lakeside Link Road) Order 1989” signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY; and

This Order shall come into force on 28th April 1989 and may be cited as the A13 Trunk Road (Lakeside Link Road) Order 1989.
SCHEDULE — ROUTE OF THE NEW TRUNK ROAD
The route of the new Trunk Road is at West Thurrock in the County of Essex.
The new trunk road consists of a roundabout on the north side of the A13 trunk road, a roundabout on the south side of the A13 trunk road, a connection between those roundabouts passing over the A13 trunk road on a bridge and a connection between the roundabout on the south of the A13 trunk road and that part of a new connection with the west-bound carriageway of the A13 trunk road which is to be constructed as an improvement of the A13 trunk road and is shown on the deposited plan by vertical stripes. (A connection to be constructed between the east-bound carriageway of the A13 trunk road and the said roundabout on the north side of the A13 trunk road as an improvement of the A13 trunk road is shown on the deposited plan by vertical stripes).
