The Submarine Pipe-lines (Designated Owners) (No. 9) Order 1989

Made: 28th April 1989

Coming into force: 1st June 1989

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33(3) of the Petroleum and Submarine Pipe-lines Act 1975[^f00001] (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after giving those persons affected an opportunity of being heard with respect to the matter, hereby makes the following Order:–

This Order may be cited as the Submarine Pipe-lines (Designated Owners) (No. 9) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 1st June 1989.

For the purposes of Part III of the Act, each person specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto is hereby designated as the owner of the pipe-line described in Part II of the Schedule hereto.

PART I — designated owners

• Britoil p.l.c., whose registered office is at 301 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow G2 5DD.

• Conoco (UK) Ltd., whose registered office is at Park House, 116 Park Street, London W1Y 4NN.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates the companies specified in Part I of the Schedule as owners of the pipe-line described in Part II of the Schedule, which lies above the Viking gasfield situated east of the coast of Lincolnshire.
