The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 25 of the Land Registers (Scotland) Act 1868[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf and with the consent of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Fees in the Department of the Registers of Scotland (Amendment) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 4th July 1990.

For the Table of Fees in the Schedule to the Fees in the Department of the Registers of Scotland Order 1981[^f00002] there shall be substituted the Table of Fees set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

SCHEDULE — TABLE OF FEES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF THE REGISTERS OF SCOTLAND

PART I — LAND REGISTER OF SCOTLAND

1. REGISTRATION FEES

Interests in land other than heritable securities

A

When application is made for

the fee shall be calculated as follows:–

at the rate of £11.00 for every £5,000 or part of £5,000, subject to a minimum of £22.00 and a maximum of £550.00, as shown in the following Table.

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order increases certain of the fees payable for the registration or recording of deeds in the registers under the management and control of the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland and will result in an average increase of 10% overall.
