The M45 Motorway (Thurlaston to Dunchurch Section) Connecting Roads Scheme 1990

Made: 1st August 1990

Coming into force: 14th September 1990

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Scheme in exercise of powers conferred by sections 16, 17 and 19 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

For the purpose of connecting the Motorway with the Trunk Road, the Secretary of State is authorised to provide along the routes described in the schedule hereto special roads for the use of traffic of Classes I and II of the classes of traffic set out in Schedule 4 to the Highways Act 1980.

The centre lines of the special roads are indicated by heavy black lines on the deposited plan.

The special roads shall become trunk roads on the date when this Scheme comes into force.

In this Scheme:–

• (i) “the Motorway” means the M45 Motorway;

• (ii) “the Trunk Road” means the A45 East of Birmingham to Birkenhead Trunk Road;

• (iii) “the deposited plan” means the plan numbered HA16/1WM161 marked “The M45 Motorway (Thurlaston to Dunchurch Section) Connecting Roads Scheme 1990”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY; and

• (iv) “the special roads” means all the special roads which the Secretary of State is authorised by this scheme to provide.

This Scheme shall come into force on 14th September 1990 and may be cited as the M45 Motorway (Thurlaston to Dunchurch Section) Connecting Roads Scheme 1990.

SCHEDULE — THE ROUTES OF THE SPECIAL ROADS

A route to connect the eastbound carriageway of the Motorway with a roundabout to be constructed as part of the Trunk Road at Dunchurch, Warwickshire. The centre line of this special road is shown on the deposited plan where it is given the reference number 1.

A route to connect the westbound carriageway of the Motorway with the Trunk Road at Dunchurch, Warwickshire. The centre line of this special road is shown on the deposited plan where it is given the reference number 2.
