Made: 5th December 1990

Coming into force: 24th January 1991

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The lengths of the trunk road described in the schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be trunk road and shall be classified as classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Northamptonshire that the new trunk roads are open for through traffic.

This Order shall come into force on 24th January 1991 and may be cited as the A43 Oxford—Market Deeping Trunk Road (South West Kettering to Weekley) Detrunking Order 1990.

THE SCHEDULE — LENGTHS OF THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD

The lengths of the trunk road ceasing to be trunk road are in the County of Northamptonshire, and consist of all or part of the roads known locally as Northampton Road, St Marys Road, Windmill Avenue and Stamford Road, totalling about 55 kilometres, being—
