Made: 17th December 1990

Coming into force: 24th January 1991

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The new highway which the Secretary of State proposes to construct along the route described in the schedule to this Order which connects the main new trunk road with another highway at the place stated in that schedule (the new highway along this route being in this Order referred to as “the slip road”), shall become a trunk road as from the date when this Order comes into force.

The centre line of the slip road is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.

In this Order

This Order shall come into force on 24th January 1991 and may be cited as the A41 London—Birmingham Trunk Road (Berkhamsted Bypass Slip Road) Order 1990.

SCHEDULE — ROUTE OF THE SLIP ROAD

One bifurcating route to connect the eastbound carriageway of the main new trunk road with a roundabout to be constructed by the Secretary of State at the junction of Chesham Road with Kingshill Way in pursuance of the A41 London—Birmingham Trunk Road (Berkhamsted Bypass Slip Road) Side Roads Order 1990 (the slip road being given the reference number 1 on the deposited plan).
