In pursuance of section 7(4) and (5) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971[^f00001], on the recommendation of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, I hereby make the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Variation) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 1st February 1991.

The Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order 1986[^f00002] shall be varied by the addition, at the end of paragraph 1(a) of Part I of the Schedule, of “N/Hydroxy-tenamphetamine” and “4-Methyl-aminorex”.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order varies the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order 1986 by adding to Part I of the Schedule (which specifies the controlled drugs which are designated as drugs to which section 7(4) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 applies) N/Hydroxy-tenamphetamine and 4-Methyl-aminorex. These drugs become subject to control under that Act by virtue of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Modification) Order 1990 (S.I. 1990/2589).
