Coming into force: 24th February 1990
The Secretary of State for Transport, makes this Scheme in exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

Items 1(1), 1(2)(a), 1(2)(b), 1(2)(c) and 1(2)(d) of Schedule 2 to the North of Edgware Bury – Aldenham Special Roads Scheme 1962[^f00003]are hereby revoked.

This Scheme shall come into force on 24th February 1990 and may be cited as the M1 London – Yorkshire Motorway (The North of Edgware Bury – Aldenham Special Roads Scheme 1962) (Partial Revocation) Scheme 1990.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Scheme)
This Scheme varies a Scheme made under sections 11, 12 and 14 of the Highways Act 1959 (c. 25), which provided for the construction of the North of Edgware Bury – Aldenham Special Road, now part of the M1 London – Yorkshire Motorway.
