The A663 Broadway (A627(M) to Manchester City Boundary) (Trunking) Order 1990

Coming into force: 20th March 1990

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The length of the highway described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by a thick black line on the deposited plan shall, as from the date on which this Order comes into force, become a trunk road known as “The A663 Broadway, A627(M) to Manchester City Boundary, Trunk Road”.

In this Order—

• (i) “the deposited plan” means the plan numbered NWRT 5083/80/1 (1) marked “The A663 Broadway (A627(M) to Manchester City Boundary) (Trunking) Order 1990” signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY;

• (ii) “the A663 Road” means Broadway at Chadderton, in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham which is a Principal Road;

• (iii) “A627(M)” means the Rochdale — Lancashire/Yorkshire Motorway — Oldham Special Road, which is a Principal Road Motorway.

This Order shall come into force on 20th March 1990 and may be cited as the A663 Broadway (A627(M) to Manchester City Boundary) (Trunking) Order 1990.

SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF HIGHWAY TO BECOME A TRUNK ROAD

That length of the A663 road which extends from the south side of the roundabout carrying that road over the A627(M), in a south westerly direction, to its junction with Moston Lane East (at the boundary of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham with the City of Manchester), a distance of about 4.35 kilometres measured along that length of the A663 road.

UNITS OF LENGTH:1 kilometre 037 0.621 of a mile approximately.
