In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 8(2) of the Representation of the People Act 1989 [^f00001], I hereby make the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Representation of the People Act 1989 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1990.
2
Sections 1 to 4 of the Representation of the People Act 1989 shall come into force on 1st April 1990.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 1st April 1990 those provisions of the Representation of the People Act 1989 which are not already in force.
