The Bankruptcy and Companies (Department of Trade and Industry) Fees (Amendment) Order 1990

Coming into force: 2nd April 1990

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 133(1) of the Bankruptcy Act 1914[^f00001] and section 663(4) of the Companies Act 1985[^f00002], and with the sanction of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Bankruptcy and Companies (Department of Trade and Industry) Fees (Amendment) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 2nd April 1990.

Table B in the Schedule to the Bankruptcy Fees Order 1984[^f00003] shall be amended by substituting for the amount “£16.25” shown in relation to Fee No. 11, the amount “£17.83”.

The Schedule to the Companies (Department of Trade and Industry) Fees Order 1985[^f00004] shall be amended by substituting for the amount “£16.25” shown in relation to Fee No. 14, the amount “£17.83”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order, which amends the Bankruptcy Fees Order 1984 (S.I. 1984/880) and the Companies (Department of Trade and Industry) Fees Order 1985 (S.I. 1985/1784), increases with effect from 2nd April 1990 the fees chargeable under those instruments in respect of the insertion in the London Gazette of certain notices from £16.25 to £17.83.

The said Orders apply to insolvency proceedings where the bankruptcy petition was presented or the winding up commenced before 29th December 1986.
