The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 19, 25, 27, 69, 75(a), 105 and 108(1) of, and paragraph 1 of Schedule 11 to, the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978[^f00001], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Amendment of the amending Regulations

In regulation 4 of the amending Regulations for the words “where drugs are supplied” there shall be substituted the words “in relation to supplies of drugs and appliances made”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Charges for Drugs and Appliances) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1990 (“the amending Regulations”) which amend Regulations providing for the making and recovery of charges for drugs and appliances under the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978.

The amendment effected by these Regulations corrects a minor omission from the provisions of the amending Regulations in relation to the application of the Regulations to drugs and appliances.
