Coming into force: 16th August 1991

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1, 7(1)(a), (b) and (c) and (2), 23(f) and (g) of the Animal Health Act 1981[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Title and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (No. 3) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 16th August 1991.

Interpretation

In this Order the “principal Order” means the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978[^f00002].

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order further amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 by adding to the list of approved disinfectants in that Order those newly approved disinfectants which are mentioned in Schedule 1 to this Order (article 3(1)) and by deleting from that list the disinfectants mentioned in Schedule 2 (article 3(2)). The disinfectants deleted may, however, continue to be used as approved disinfectants until 31st December 1991 (article 3(3) and (4)).
