The Secretary of State makes this Scheme in exercise of powers conferred by sections 16and 326 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The M25 Motorway (A13 to A12 Section) (Mar Dyke Connecting Roads) Scheme 1975[^f00003] is hereby varied so as not to apply to the special roads given the reference numbers 1 and 4 in the Schedule to that scheme, the road given the reference number 1 being the northbound slip road.

The M25 Motorway (A13 to A12 Section and Connecting Roads) Scheme 1975[^f00004] is hereby varied so as not to apply to—

and in this article, “hard shoulder” and “verge” have the meanings respectively given in regulation 3(1) of the Motorways Traffic (England and Wales) Regulations 1982[^f00005].

In this Scheme—

This Scheme shall come into force on the 8th October 1991 and may be cited as the M25 Motorway (A13 to A12 Section) (Mar Dyke Connecting Roads) Scheme 1975 and the M25 Motorway (A13 to A12 Section and Connecting Roads) Scheme 1975, Variation Scheme 1991.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Scheme)

This Scheme deletes reference to two slip roads in the Schedule to the M25 Motorway (A13 to A12 Section) (Mar Dyke Connecting Roads)Scheme 1975, and to a length of Motorway and a length of carriageway in Schedule 1 to the M25 Motorway (A13 to A12 Section and Connecting Roads) Scheme 1975.

Accordingly, each of those slip roads ceases to be, and each of those lengths ceases to be part of, a special road, but remains trunk road.
