In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 8 of the Rent Act 1977[^f00001] and paragraph 8 of Schedule 1 to the Housing Act 1988[^f00002], the Secretary of State for Education and Science, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, hereby make the following Regulations:

1

These Regulations may be cited as the Assured and Protected Tenancies (Lettings to Students) (Amendment) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 18th March 1991.

2

Schedule 1 to the Assured and Protected Tenancies (Lettings to Students) Regulations 1988[^f00003] shall be further amended by the substitution of “International Students House” for “International Students Housing Society”.

Signed

Kenneth Clark — Secretary of State for Education and Science — 14th February 1991

David Hunt — Secretary of State for Wales — 14th February 1991

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations correct an error in Schedule 1 to the Assured and Protected Tenancies (Lettings to Students) Regulations 1988 as amended by the Assured and Proteced Tenancies (Lettings to Students) (Amendment) Regulations 1990. The reference in that Schedule to “International Students Housing Society” is changed to “International Students House” which is the correct title of that body.
