Made: 7th February 1991

Coming into force: 8th February 1991

Whereas the making of this Order is not opposed:

Now therefore the Secretary of State for Transport (being the appropriate Minister under section 14(7) of the Harbours Act 1964[^f00001] for the purpose of making this Order) in exercise of the powers conferred by the said section 14 and now vested in him[^f00002]and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and on the application of the Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners, hereby make the following Order:–

Citation and commencement

Amendment of article 13 of Scheme of 1894

Paragraph (a) of article 13 of the Borough and Harbour of Whitehaven Scheme 1894^f00003 shall cease to have effect.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order removes the restriction contained in a Scheme of 1894 upon women being appointed or elected as Commissioners of Whitehaven Harbour.
