Made: 20th November 1991

Coming into force: 3rd January 1992

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be trunk road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Northamptonshire that the new trunk roads are open for through traffic.

In this Order–

This Order shall come into force on 3rd January 1992 and may be cited as the A6 London–Inverness Trunk Road (Rothwell Interchange) Detrunking Order 1991.

THE SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD

The length of the trunk road ceasing to be trunk road is between a line extending from a point on its eastern boundary, 40 metres south, to a point on its western boundary, 65 metres south, of the junction of the trunk road with Jubilee Street and the northern boundary of the new trunk road along the route given the reference number 2 on the deposited plan referred to in the trunk road order.
