Made: 18th December 1991

Coming into force: 16th January 1992

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:—

The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Northumberland that the new trunk road is open for through traffic.

In this Order—

This Order shall come into force on 16th January 1992 and may be cited as the A1 Trunk Road (Brownieside De-Trunking) Order 1991.

THE SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD

The length of the trunk road in the district of Alnwick and the Borough of Berwick-upon-Tweed in the County of Northumberland between its junction with the southern boundary of the C.47 road and a point 380 metres north of Hallflat Culvert, a distance of about 0.95 kilometres.
