Made: 1st March 1991

Coming into force: 18th March 1991

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1, 7(1)(a), (b) and (c) and (2), 23(f) and (g) of the Animal Health Act 1981[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Title and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 18th March 1991.

Amendment

2

The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978[^f00002] shall be amended as follows:—

Revocation

3

The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) Order 1990[^f00003] and the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1990[^f00004] are revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 by substituting new schedules for Schedules 1 and 2 to that Order (article 2 (a) and (b)). Schedule 1, which lists approved disinfectants, includes newly approved disinfectants, and Schedule 2 lists disinfectants which are now omitted from Schedule I but which may nevertheless continue to be used as approved disinfectants until 30th June 1991 (article 2 (c)).
