Made: 20th March 1991

Coming into force: 4th April 1991

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 41 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The new highway which the Secretary of State proposes to construct along the route described in the Schedule to this Order shall become a trunk road as from the date when this Order comes into force.

The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.

The Secretary of State directs as respects any part of a highway which crosses the route of the new trunk road that—

until, in either case, a date to be specified in a notice given by the Secretary of State to the highway authority for that highway. That date will not he later than the date on which the relevant route is opened for the purpose of through traffic.

This Order shall come into force on 4th April 1991 and may be cited as the A17 Trunk Road (Leadenham Bypass) Order 1991.

THE SCHEDULE

The route of the new trunk road is to the south of Leadenham in the Districts of North and South Kesteven in the County of Lincolnshire, and is about 3.91 kilometres in length, starting at a point on the trunk road (Newark Road) about 1630 metres north-west of its junction with Cliff Road (A607) and proceeding in a generally south-easterly direction to a point on the trunk road (Sleaford Road) about 150 metres south east of its junction with North Heath Lane.
