Made: 21st April 1992

Coming into force: 1st June 1992

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which this Order comes into force.

In this Order—

This Order shall come into force on 1st June 1992 and may be cited as the A40 Trunk Road (Sandhills) Detrunking Order 1992.

THE SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD

The length of the Trunk Road ceasing to be a trunk road is the length of the service road 115 metres in length running from its junction with Merewood Avenue eastwards to its termination beyond the entrance to Sandhills County Primary School.
