Made: 27th April 1992

Coming into force: 29th May 1992

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:—

The length of trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of North Yorkshire that the new trunk road is open for through traffic.

This Order shall come into force on 29th May 1992 and may be cited as the A19 Trunk Road (Raskelf Bridge to Shires Bridge) (Detrunking) Order 1992.

SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD

The length of trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is about 4.07 kilometres in length from its junction with Stonycourse Lane (marked “C” on the deposited plan), to a point on the trunk road about 278 metres north of Shires Bridge (marked “D” on the deposited plan) all in the District of Hambleton in the County of North Yorkshire.
