Made: 14th May 1992

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 69(1) of the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1991[^f00001], I hereby make the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1991 (Commencement) Order 1992.

The provisions of the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1991 (except section 34 and Schedule 3) shall come into force on 1st June 1992 so far as not already in force.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 1st June 1992 the provisions of Part VII of the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1991, which relate to the confiscation of proceeds of terrorist related crime. The only provisions of the Act which are not now in force are section 34 and Schedule 3, which relate to detention orders.
