Made: 3rd July 1992

Laid before Parliament: 16th July 1992

Coming into force: 6th August 1992

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 170(2) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Housing (Relevant Works) (Scotland) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 6th August 1992.

Interpretation

In these Regulations, the following expressions have the meanings respectively assigned to them:—

Relevant works

The following are the relevant works for the purpose of section 170(1) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989:—

SCHEDULE 1 — STANDARD AMENITIES

1.

Fixed bath or shower;

2.

hot and cold water supply at a fixed bath or shower;

3.

wash-hand basin;

4.

hot and cold water supply at a wash-hand basin;

5.

sink;

6.

hot and cold water supply at a sink;

7.

water closet.

SCHEDULE 2

A house meets the tolerable standard if the house—

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations set out the works (“the relevant works”) in respect of which local authorities can provide to owners or occupiers of houses professional, technical and administrative services.

The works prescribed are for—
