The Secretary of State for Transport, at the request of the British Railways Board and in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the British Railways (Penalty Fares) Act 1989[^f00001] and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:

Article 2 (3)(b) of and Part II of the Schedule to the British Rail (Penalty Fares) Act 1989 (Activating No. 6) Order 1992[^f00002] are hereby revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order gives effect to the penalty fares provisions contained in sections 4 to 9 of the British Railways (Penalty Fares) Act 1989, with respect to the train services specified in the Schedule, as from 14th December 1992.

This Order covers the lines specified in Part II of the Schedule to the British Railways (Penalty Fares) Act 1989 (Activating No. 6) Order 1992. Article 2(3)(b) of, and Part II of the Schedule to, that Order are therefore revoked as spent.
