The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (Variation of Schedules 2 and 3) Order 1992

Coming into force: 1st January 1993
in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 22(1) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981[^f00001], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (Variation of Schedules 2 and 3) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st January 1993.
Variation of Schedule 2

The following birds are removed from Part II of Schedule 2 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981–

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order, which applies throughout Great Britain, gives effect in part to Council Directive 79/409/EEC (OJ No. L103, 25.4.1979, p.1). Article 2 of the Order removes 13 species from Part II of Schedule 2 to the Act, which lists species of birds which may be killed or taken by authorised persons at all times. Article 3 of the Order removes 1 species from Part II of Schedule 3 to the Act, which lists species of bird which may be sold dead at all times.
