Made: 22nd December 1992

Coming into force: 21st January 1993

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:—

The length of the Trunk Road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by a broken black line on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Bedfordshire that the new trunk roads are open for through traffic.

In this Order:

This Order shall come into force on 21st January 1993 and may be cited as the A6 Trunk Road (North of Bedford-South of Milton Ernest) Detrunking Order 1992.

THE SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD AND BECOMING CLASSIFIED ROAD

The Trunk Road, from a point in the Borough of Bedford in the County of Bedfordshire 260 metres north of the Manton Lane Roundabout, to a point 15 metres north of its junction with Highfield Road, Oakley in the Borough of Bedford in the County of Bedfordshire. Length of road 4.2 kilometres.
