Made: 26th February 1992

Coming into force: 3rd April 1992

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:—

The length of the Trunk Road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road, and shall be classified as a principal road, as from the date on which this Order comes into force.

In this Order—

This Order shall come into force on 3rd April 1992 and may be cited as the A4 Trunk Road (Bristol City Boundary to East of Hicks Gate Roundabout) (Detrunking) Order 1992.

SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD

The Trunk Road between the Bristol City Boundary, that is to say, 210 metres west of the centre point of Hicks Gate Roundabout, and a point 300 metres east of the centre point of that roundabout.
