Made: 3rd March 1992

Laid before Parliament: 9th March 1992

Coming into force: 1st April 1992

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23(1) and (3) of the Health and Medicines Act 1988[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I hereby make the following Regulations:—

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations make it an offence, subject to various exceptions,

In addition, regulation 5 places restrictions on advertisements for such kits, components and services.

[^f00006]: Section 23(6) provides that “HIV testing services” means diagnostic services the purpose of which is to detect the presence of HIV or HIV antibodies in identifiable individuals.
