Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order revokes the Export of Goods (Control) (Bosnia-Herzegovina) (ECSC) Order 1993 which prohibited the export of goods covered by the ECSC Treaty to Bosnia-Herzegovina, except under the authority of a licence granted by the Secretary of State or which was in accordance with an export authorisation issued by the competent authority of a Member State in conformity with Decision 92/470/ECSC, as amended.

That Decision has now been revoked and prohibition on the export of all goods to Bosnia-Herzegovina except under the authority of a licence granted by the Secretary of State is now contained in the Export of Goods (Control) (Croatian and Bosnian Territories) Order 1993 (S.I. 1993/1189), in accordance with Resolution 820 (1993) of the Security Council of the United Nations adopted on 17th April 1993.
