Made: 4th May 1993

Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, after consulting the said authority in pursuance of the said subsection (1), in exercise of the powers conferred on him by that subsection and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Medway Ports Authority (Dissolution) Order 1993.

Dissolution of the Authority

The Medway Ports Authority shall be dissolved on 5th May 1993.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order dissolves the Medway Ports Authority on 5th May 1993.

On that day any property, rights and liabilities to which the Authority are entitled or subject immediately before that day are transferred to, and by virtue of section 7 of the Ports Act 1991 become property, rights and liabilities of, Port of Sheerness Limited (the present name of the Authority’s successor company).
