Made: 26th August 1993

Coming into force: 14th September 1993

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:—

The length of trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Hampshire that the new trunk road is open for through traffic.

This Order shall come into force on 14th September 1993 and may be cited as the Winchester–Preston Trunk Road (A34) (Newbury Bypass Detrunking) (No.2) Order 1993.

SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD

The slip road from the eastern boundary of the Trunk Road to Harts Lane, at Tot Hill in the County of Hampshire, a distance of 180 metres.
