At the Council Chamber, Whitehall, the 9th day of February 1993 By the Lords of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council

Their Lordships, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Them by sections 48(1) and 60 of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992([^f00001]) and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, are pleased to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

The Academic Awards and Distinctions (Queen Margaret College)(Scotland)Order of Council 1992[^f00002] is hereby revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

The Academic Awards and Distinctions (Queen Margaret College) (Scotland) Order of Council 1992 specified Queen Margaret College as competent to grant degrees, diplomas, certificates or other academic awards or distinctions with the specific exception of post-graduate degrees. This Order replaces the earlier order and extends the relevant powers to cover post-graduate awards for taught courses. Post graduate research degrees continue to be excluded. Other academic awards and distinctions granted on completion of programmesof supervised research are also now excluded.
