The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3(1) of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990[^f00001], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Charities (Designated Religious Bodies) (Scotland) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 7th December 1993.

Interpretation

In this Order–

Designated Religious Bodies

The Secretary of State hereby designates for the purposes of section 3 of the Act the recognised bodies which are specified in the Schedule to this Order.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates for the purposes of section 3 of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990 the recognised bodies (or Scottish charities) which appear to the Secretary of State to meet the criteria set out in that section (designated religious bodies).
